The Certification Standard

The SHINQ Certified
Smart Home Standard

A verified standard, not a marketing badge.

SCSH exists so a listing can say something specific and defensible about a property's technology, not a vague "smart home ready" bullet point. It's the difference between claiming a home is well-integrated and proving it.

In Short

What SCSH Actually Verifies

Active Membership

The property runs on a current SHINQ Membership License, not a one-time installation.

Full Systems Audit

Networking, security, AV, lighting, and cloud infrastructure verified against the SCSH criteria.

Ongoing, Not One-Time

Reverified at every annual membership renewal, not awarded once and forgotten.

Certification Criteria

What a Property Must Have
to Carry the Badge

01

Active Membership License

Exclusive, Prestige, or Architect, in good standing at time of listing. Trial Licenses alone do not qualify.

02

SHINQ Platform Interface Deployed

The property runs on a governed, HINQ-monitored platform interface, not disconnected point solutions.

03

Passed Systems Verification

A Seiits specialist confirms every deployed service pairing meets SCSH's functional and safety criteria.

04

Current Maintenance Record

No overdue scheduled maintenance visits, and no unresolved HINQ-flagged issues at time of certification.

Why It Matters

Built to Help Two Different People

For Homeowners & Sellers

A Property That Proves Its Own Value

  • A verifiable claim in a listing, not an unsupported one
  • Signals ongoing maintenance history, not just installed hardware
  • Positions the home against the standard buyers increasingly expect
For Realtors & Brokerages

A Differentiator You Can Defend in Negotiation

  • Certification language usable directly in MLS listings and marketing
  • A specific, verified claim that withstands buyer due diligence, not a soft-sell adjective
  • A recurring reason for past clients to refer future ones, tied to your name on the listing
How Certification Works

From Membership to Listing-Ready

1

Property enrolls in a Membership License

Exclusive, Prestige, or Architect, with the SHINQ platform interface deployed.

2

Seiits specialist conducts systems verification

Every deployed service pairing checked against SCSH criteria, typically folded into a standard maintenance visit.

3

Certification issued to the property

Tied to the property and its active membership status, not to a specific agent or transaction.

4

Listing agent uses SCSH language and badge assets

Available to any listing agent for a certified property, with expanded terms for brokerage partners.

5

Reverified at annual renewal

Certification stays current only as long as the membership and maintenance record do.

A listing full of adjectives competes on adjectives. A listing with a verified certification competes on proof, and proof is what closes a hesitant buyer faster.

Questions

SCSH Standard FAQ

Does every SHINQ home qualify automatically?
No. Certification requires an active Membership License and a passed systems verification. A Trial License alone does not qualify a property.
Can a realtor use SCSH without a brokerage partnership?
Yes, if the property itself holds an active, verified Membership License. Brokerage partnership adds volume terms and training on top, but certification lives with the property.
How long does certification last?
It's tied to active membership status and reverified at every annual renewal, alongside the standard membership review.
Can a home lose certification?
Yes. If membership lapses, maintenance falls overdue, or a reverification fails, the certification is suspended until the underlying issue is resolved.
